Senior Management
John Royall is President & CEO for Gulf Publishing Company, a position he has held since 2009. In 2016, Royall, Gulf management, and Houston-based investors purchased the century-old Gulf Publishing Company of Houston and Petroleum Economist of London from Euromoney Plc. to form the new Gulf Publishing Company. Royall is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with additional post-graduate work at George Washington University and the University of Munich. He has 29 years experience in business-to-business media, events and data.
Andy McDowell is Publisher of World Oil. Andy has been with Gulf Publishing Company for 10 years and has served as the magazine's Associate Publisher, Global Sales Manager and District Manager during that time. Prior to working for Gulf Publishing Company, he spent one year in a management trainee program for Clear Channel Entertainment, based in London, UK and Houston, TX. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing.
Catherine Watkins is Publisher of Hydrocarbon Processing and Gas Processing. She had previously represented Gulf Publishing Company in Europe and the Middle East for 20 years. Watkins holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
Pamela Harvey is Chief Financial Officer. She joined Euromoney Institutional Investor in June 2000 as Marketing Business Analyst. She transferred to Gulf Publishing Company in 2003 to serve as Business Finance Manager. While working at GPC, Pamela has expanded her skill set to include human resource, benefits administration and information technology management working with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders. Pamela has an MBA in International Business from the London Metropolitan University and is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
Sheryl Stone is the Vice President, Production for Gulf Publishing Company. She leads the team responsible for the production and design of our print and digital publications, marketing collateral and conference materials. Sheryl oversees the development and maintenance of the company’s websites. Since joining the company in 2003, Sheryl has served as Editorial Production Manager, Director of Production and IT and Director of Production and Operations before being named Vice President, Production in 2012. Sheryl previously held positions at the Texas Association of REALTORS® and Silent Partners, Inc., a full-service electronic publishing house. She earned a BA in Communication from Trinity University.
